I’m a VERY ACTIVE Huckabee Campaigner & my Husband (who was a Rudy supporter but now is undecided) came up with a BETTER ECONOMIC STIMULUS PACKAGE this morning at breakfast that I think Mike Huckabee could use to SWEEP THE NATION OVER THE NEXT 4 DAYS – Here it is:
CUT FEDERAL GAS TAXES NOW!
(I like Mike’s plan ok. As to the current Federal Plan, I don’t like the rebate check for the reasons that Mike has stated, and articulated very well in the California Debate a couple days ago. This idea is even more immediate & more conservative & has more bottom line impact to American homes! And neither Mitt nor John can argue with it! And, we, the Markham's are authorizing ONLY HUCKABEE to use this idea!!!)
- Costs $0
- IMMEDIATELY felt in EVERYONE’S pockets
- Nothing to mail
- PROPORTIONAL – the impact to the LOWER-income people will be felt MORE than the impact to HIGHER-income people
- SIGNIFICANTLY frees up cashflow in the average American household budget
- FLEXIBLE - Can be temporary or permanent, long-term or sr
-Think about how EASY that would be to implement! Federal gasoline taxes (various internet sources) are 18.4 cents per gallon and 24.4 cents per gallon for diesel.
-Think about how people would have more cash-flow NOW to spend on their needs!
-Think about how REAL that economic stimulus would be than false spending!
-Think about how much money, time and energy that the federal government would save rather than sending rebate checks!
-Think about what a mental BOOST in spirits that would be for the American people to spend less at the gas pump!
-Think about how fiscally conservative that is – giving people more autonomy over their own money, using less government!
-Think about how we wouldn’t need to borrow money or create money to do this!
-Think about the flexibility the government would have in instituting this – temporary or permanent, etc.!
-Think about how you would REALLY be able to sort the “wheat from the shaft” of politicians who want to truly help Americans in an immediate, fiscally conservative American way!
WHO’S WITH ME?
POST a comment w/your name or initials & state – and note whether you’re a Huckabee Supporter!
According to various internet sources, the Federal Gasoline Tax is
18.4 cents per gallon
24.4 cents per gallon for diesel
This would save my family about $30 per week – or over $120 per month – RIGHT NOW! And we work near home – we DON’T COMMUTE! Imagine how much it would save TRUCKER RANDY!
Wishing the Next President of the United States Mike Huckabee and his supporters All the Best,
Theresa

P.S. BTW, my husband is brilliant in business and regularly comes up with ingenious creative problem-solving ideas like this – which is why he’s a business coach (www.businesscoachchuck.com)!

Hi Folks! Post a comment if you're in favor of this Econ Stimulus Plan, and if you're not, let us know why not. Also, if you're a Huckabee supporter, let us know that too!
Sounds like a fantastic idea. I am a big Mike Huckabee supporter. I hope he uses it to wim.
I think the idea to cut out the gas taxes is a great idea. I have no idea what the taxes are used for, but it's better than spending government money we don't have and it's impact is immediate! I am a very loyal Huckabee supporter and so is my State of Iowa!!!
This would be great! It would not only affect the amount we spend on gas, it would lower food prices as well both for production (farmers) and distribution. We need Mike Huckabee and the FairTax!
According to some internet source, about 50% or 60% of the gas tax is SUPPOSED to be being used for highways, etc. Personally, I think it goes into a big pot.
We could suspend that for a little while, I'd say, while Congress gets its act together & comes up w/a comprehensive plan like Gov. Huckabee's about what to do about our road problems!
Sounds like a wonderful idea. Would help us tremendously since we live on a weekly cash budget!!!! Great idea. I am a huge Huckabee fan. Working hard for Super Tuesday!
I like it! It could be put into effect immediately, would help everyone, and would simplify the whole process. I am really for simplification!!
I am new to feeling passionate support for a candidate, but Mike Huckabee has brought that out in me. He is truely amazing!
Sounds pretty good, except that it wouldn't help people who use public transit, unless you think that it would significantly reduce bus and subway ticket prices, which, with a filter down effect, I doubt it would.
...for that matter, it wouldn't help reach people who walk to work, although I don't know how large that constituency is.
Kingdom Advancer - Good question. Here's the Answer:
Any product that is delivered by truck (e.g. most of the food we eat, overnight delivery, etc.) is currently experiencing a FUEL SURCHARGE.
In fact, anyone who lives in the City (i.e. most mass-transit users) are most impacted by that FUEL SURCHARGE than anyone else.
But do you think that cutting the gas tax would have an impact on the mass-transit consumer fast enough?
I understand the whole invisible tax idea, and that's part of the reason I love the Fair Tax. But I don't know if cutting the gas tax would have a quick enough, big enough effect.
Ding ding ding! This is PERFECT. It would cost the gov't almost nothing to implement this. No paper and printing and postage for rebate checks that we're just going to bury in the ground. YAY! And this would be for EVERYONE...I honestly would make more road trips if gas was cheaper!

KingdomAdvancer:
YES! I do believe that it would fairly immediately affect mass-transit users.
It will immediately affect 100% of all Americans who eat.
It will immediately affect 100% of all Americans who do not pay income taxes (as opposed to the proposed $300 tax rebate). So, alot more people (than the # that would receive the rebate checks) would have more cash flow.
It will immediately affect 100% of every small business that has supplies delivered from an office supplies store.
It will immediately affect 100% of every mass-transit person that has a product that they bought online delivered to their door.
Just the beginning of the list - I'm sure those who are brighter than me can make the list faster!
All the Best,
Theresa
